About Us

At DacQuest, we take great pride in developing solutions that meet, or even exceed, the expectations of our customers.

Expolore why our partners have trusted us for more than 20 years to provide superior support - and products that don't need it.

History

DacQuest was founded in 1998 as a supplier of just-in-time shipping systems for the automotive industry.

Although we still develop such systems, we have since expanded the services that we provide to include many different aspects of the manufacturing process; from production scheduling to shipping, and everything in between.

Over the years, our software solutions have interfaced with a variety of devices, including PLCs, barcode scanners, RFID reader/writers, marquee displays, label printer/applicators, storage/retrieval machines (SRM), test/build fixtures, and more.

With more than 20 years of projects under our belt, we have comprehensive experience interfacing our solutions with other vendors' software packages, including enterprise resource planning (ERP), MES, warehouse management systems (WMS), and others.

Guiding Priciples

In software development, a design only has worth to the extent that it can be realized in a practical way. To base a solution on an unproven concept or idea is foolish and invites disaster. To avoid this situation, we prove out each concept as the design progresses. This prevents implementation of a solution based on a flawed design. Our solutions are solid because they consist of ideas that have been tested before being accepted as part of the overall design.

Creating robust software solutions requires verification of data, testing of communications, and exercising of all decision-making logic.

DacQuest accomplishes these goals by developing and using specialty applications that fall into three categories:

  • Utility applications used to verify that all data is properly manipulated and maintained.
  • Diagnostic applications used to test communications and help to isolate configuration, network, and hardware problems when they occur.
  • Simulator applications used to exercise the production applications in a manner as close to real world conditions as possible prior to on-site commissioning.

Typically, the Utility and Diagnostic applications are very useful in the day-to-day administration of a system. Hence, they are delivered to the customer as part of the completed project.

We have the skills and experience to tackle your toughest software needs. Let us help you increase efficiency, improve quality, and boost profits.
